Sapientia Mundi Press The Wisdom of Neem Karoli Baba

The saint in the blanket still walks among us. In the quiet courtyards of Kainchi and Vrindavan, Neem Karoli Baba-affectionately called Maharaj-ji-sat wrapped in a simple blanket, laughing, scolding, feeding the hungry, and pouring out a love so vast that it transformed all who came near. He left no books, no doctrine, no institution. Only three simple teachings: Love everyone. Serve everyone. Remember God. The Wisdom of Neem Karoli Baba brings his life and message alive in vivid, contemplative prose. From the miracles whispered of in villages to the kitchen fires of annadanam where thousands were fed, from his fierce scoldings that burned away ego to his boundless laughter that revealed the play of God, this book weaves together a full portrait of one of the twentieth century's most beloved saints. Through immersive storytelling and poetic reflection, readers will encounter: The daily life of Maharaj-ji-his ordinariness and his divinity, his playfulness and his silence. The Western seekers, like Ram Dass and Krishna Das, whose lives were transformed at his feet and who carried his teaching around the globe. The enduring presence of Maharaj-ji today-in dreams, temples, music, and every act of service and love performed in his name. The timeless essence of bhakti-the path of devotion-that Maharaj-ji embodied so completely. This is not a biography in the usual sense. It is a journey into the fragrance of a saint whose life was a living scripture. For seekers, devotees, or anyone drawn to the mystery of love beyond reason, The Wisdom of Neem Karoli Baba offers not only stories of the hidden saint but an invitation to live his teaching: to love without condition, to serve without end, to remember God in all things. A book to read slowly, to sit with, to carry into the heart-where Maharaj-ji still waits, smiling beneath his blanket.
