Brian Jameson What's the Story?

Behind every story, there's another story. Behind the Balamory story lie tales of ghostly green hands and mortuaries. Equally, there are stories of a magical island, a life in theatre, and the world of children's television. Told by the creator of Balamory, it is revealing, candid and funny. Tales skip lightly towards the commissioning of a unique idea: a television soap opera for younger children. With no name, no cast, no scripts, and no location, 126 episodes must be completed in nine months. The clock ticks, jeopardy looms, and then a legend is born. The years go by, and Balamory returns once more - and so does jeopardy. For those once captivated by Balamory, the story is peppered with anecdotes and features more than 60 impromptu images. Not for children, but for those who've never quite left childhood behind.
