Michael S. Luzzi Trumpty Dumpty 2

This second book in the Trumpty Dumpty Series is a sequel to Trumpty Dumpty Invades Mother Goose. It is also a poignant political parody in verse using Alice In Wonderland characters to represent Trump and his associates as they go down the rabbit hole, presuming they know how to govern a country. Most of the major figures appear on the cover as incarnations of "Wonderland" counterparts. Jared Kushner (featured on the cover as the White Knight) has been quoted as stating that "Alice in Wonderland was a guiding text for the Trump presidency." Trumpty Dumpty 2 ... provides the historical context to understanding his comment. This sequel continues Trumpty's perilous path beyond Mother Goose's nursery rhyme figures, who were perfectly matched for the campaign characters and shenanigans of the first year. The sequel follows them in their deep dive down the rabbit hole where, as Peggy Noonan, who wrote speeches for Ronald Reagan, described the Trump presidency as "a circus act"..."a living insult"... and as having "...an unhinged or not fully hinged quality that feels like screwball tragedy." Welcome to Trumpty Dumpty 2 From Mother Goose To Wonderland... where, as Ms Noonan continues, to describe Trumpty himself as projecting "epic instability...and confusion." Sounds like a composite portrait of Alice & Co. down the rabbit hole. "Trumpty Dumpty 2..." works as a primer to help readers understand the bigger picture through Trumpty Dumpty rhymes, limericks, parodies of well-known poems and popular songs, haiku, and tributes to late night satirists. A do-it-yourself interactive section is included to complete limericks and poem parodies. Droll and witty rhymes deliver a hard-hitting chronicle of the chaos, which defined the Trump era.
