Hvordan måler jeg min hat-størrelse?
Brug målebånd rundt om hovedet på det bredeste sted - ca. 2 cm over ørerne og øjenbrynene. Mål i cm. Almindelige størrelser: 54-55 cm = XS/6⅞, 56-57 cm = S/7, 58-59 cm = M/7⅜, 60-61 cm = L/7⅝, 62-63 cm = XL/7⅞. Mange caps er justerbare med strap eller snapback og passer 56-62 cm. Hvilke materialer er bedst til vinter-hovedbeklædning?
Merino uld er ultimate - varmt selv når vådt, ånder godt, lugtfrit, blødt mod huden, men dyrt (300-800 kr). Almindelig uld/akryl blends giver god varme billigere (100-300 kr) men kan kradse. Fleece er varmt, blødt, hurtigt-tørrende men mindre vindtæt. Til ekstremt koldt vejr vælg dobbelt-lag eller uld med fleece-foring. Undgå bomuld til vinter da det mister isolation når vådt. Vindtæt membran (Gore-Tex) i ydre lag beskytter mod blæst.
Beskytter alle solhatte lige godt mod UV-stråler?
Nej, materialet og konstruktionen påvirker beskyttelsen. Tætvævet mørkt stof giver bedst beskyttelse - UPF 50+ blokerer 98% UV-stråler. Løst vævet hvidt stof kan have UPF 5-15 (minimal beskyttelse). Bred skygge (minimum 7-10 cm brim rundt om) beskytter ansigt, ører og nakke. Stråhatte ser godt ud men har ofte huller mellem fletningen - check UPF-rating. Specialiserede solhatte med UPF-certificering anbefales til børn og solømfindtlig hud. Brug også solcreme under hatten.
