Jones discovers the flaws of his community and seeks the only man who can help him change the world: the Giver. "The Giver" by Lois Lowry was made into a major Hollywood film in 2014 starring Jeff Bridges as the Giver and Brenton Thwaites as Jonas. "The Giver" is the first of four loosely connected novels by Lowry that are set in the same fictional universe.
