David York leads a quiet life as a professor of Engineering in his hometown of Montreal. He is active in research and works on a number of scientific projects, one of them being with the National Defence in Ottawa. The project involves a consortium of different countries. Over the course of events that occur over the novel, he is involuntarily involved in an intricate espionage affair. He finds himself in the middle of arms traffickers and Iranian spies. In the novel, Iran has become a threat to world peace and is developing long-range ballistic missiles, which creates turmoil in the Middle East. David entangles himself into a world of intrigue spiced by a love affair. He must risk his life in order to prevent vital information from falling into the wrong hands. Will he complete his mission or will his sacrifice be in vain?
