Produktbeskrivelse

The inaugural Space Capstone Publication, Spacepower is capstone doctrine for the United States Space Force andrepresents our Service's first articulation of an independent theory ofspacepower. This publication answers why spacepower is vital for ourNation, how military spacepower is employed, who military spaceforces are, and what military space forces value. In short, this capstonedocument is the foundation of our professional body of knowledge aswe forge an independent military Service committed to space operations.Like all doctrine, the SCP remains subject to the policies andstrategies that govern its employment. Military spacepower has deterrentand coercive capacities - it provides independent options forNational and Joint leadership but achieves its greatest potential whenintegrated with other forms of military power. As we grow spacepowertheory and doctrine, we must do so in a way that fosters greaterintegration with the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and CoastGuard. It is only by achieving true integration and interdependencethat we can hope to unlock spacepower's full potential. Agility, innovation, and boldness have always been the touchstonetraits of military space forces. Today, we must harness these traits topioneer a new Service and a new professional body of knowledge. This capstone doctrine is a point-of-departure toward that goal, not afinal adjudication. Given the nascent state of spacepower theory, thispublication will inevitably evolve over time as it is applied, evaluated, and refined. Therefore, military space forces are encouraged to read, critique, debate, and improve upon the ideas that follow.
