This book is the history of the gospel manuscripts in Greek, Latin and Aramaic from the 1st through the 11th centuries. The reader will see how the gospels were changed from the original text as they were translated from their original languages and standardized with the passage of time into the Caesarean, Latin Vulgate and Received Texts. This book covers many of the important, but little known manuscripts such as the Liege Diatessaron, Palestinian Syriac Lectionaries, the Purple Uncials, 8th Century Latin Vulgate manuscripts and the recently discovered Syriac New Finds.
