D. Michael Hardy The Ghosts of Us

"D. Michael Hardy has assembled a powerful collection of poems filled with the complete range of human emotion: love, loss, regret, and poems celebrating joyful abandon. His poetry reminds readers to celebrate life, recognize loss, and discusses in painful detail what it means to be human in an often bleak, yet hopeful world. In The Ghosts of Us, Hardy manages to reach out his hands in hope and friendship. This is certainly one of the best, recently published poetry books I have read in a long time." - Rob McCabe, Poet Laureate of the City of Gulfport Florida (2021-2023), Author of the poetry collections, Junky and A Letter to Frank & Other Poems In his second collection of poetry, D. Michael Hardy explores the idea of the past as ghosts we must learn to accept, as pieces of ourselves that both comfort and haunt us, from childhood memories and lost friends, to the places we once lived and the people we'll never see again. The Ghosts of Us is a haunting collection of poetry that reminds us of all the things we've left unsaid, undone, and unresolved. It is a stark reminder to cherish every moment, love more often, live without regrets, and above all, to love yourself, even in your darkest moments.
