Welcome to your recipe journal, a unique record of your favorite food memories. From vintage family recipes passed down through generations on note cards to pages pulled from magazines and digital recipes sent through social media, you'll be able to collect all the special recipes you don't want to lose or forget all in one place . This journal includes pages for you to add 84 of your own special recipes. There are six sections for Appetizers, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, Desserts and Everything Else, separated with tab dividers. Includes helpful hints and tips for a variety of topics: ingredient substitutions, doneness and food safety tips, measurement equivalents and conversions. Includes an accordion pocket in the back. Here are some ideas to inspire your creativity as you build your own one-of-a-kind custom cookbook: Gather your most treasured family recipes, including recipes passed among family and friends by word of mouth, emails or even text messages. Talk to older family members and capture on paper the recipes that are so ingrained they've never been documented. Copy down cookbook favorites and back-of-the-box classics that you almost know by heart but still need a refresher close at hand. Preserve your cooking and baking experiments that went deliciously right. When you create something magical in the kitchen, be sure to record it so you can make it again. Or maybe you have recipes you've perfected over the years that only exist in your head and should be committed to paper for reference or to share with family and friends. Create a special family cookbook to share. Add your favorite recipe, sign your name and pass it on to the next family member. Have a few copies circulating at a time so families can have their own copies. Pass them around when you meet at holidays, birthday parties and other gatherings. To get started, host a casual party with treats, drinks and recipe journals and special pens for everyone to begin sharing. Keep holiday and entertaining favorites at your fingertips to make future party planning a breeze. Be sure to note menus that were particularly delicious and any wine and beverage pairings that made your occasions extra special. Keep your family favorites all in one place to pass on to children when they are grown and on their own. They will treasure recipes from their childhood written in familiar handwriting.
