Isabel Allende La Palabra Mágica: Una Vida Escrita / Story Telling. a Writting Life

- Isabel Allende ENGLISH DESCRIPTION A vibrant book about the craft of writing, the magic of creation, and the enduring power of words. The Magic Word is much more than a writing guide--it is a conversation. Isabel Allende shares the triumphs, mistakes, and lessons that challenges and joys have brought her over the years. Drawing from her own experiences, this book is a master class for anyone who wishes to begin their own literary journey. "Literature is magical: shaping a story is a mysterious, organic, instinctive process. When I write, I enter the realm of dreams, intuition, and premonitions; I must surrender and allow the characters to do what they need to do and let the story tell itself. I spend most of my time alone and in silence, like a monk in her cell. Writing is like meditating. In solitude, I remember, I hear voices, I have visions. The quieter I am, the more I hear and the more I see. In the silence of writing, spirits sometimes visit me--or perhaps they are muses?--I feel it as a brush against the nape of my neck. When I write, I become a medium. Writing for me is not an option; it is an addiction." -- Isabel Allende
