Patricia A. Slagle og Jean C. Wolph Mentor Texts That Spark Writing

Finally-a book for classroom teachers and pre-service teachers that integrates reading, writing and grammar instruction. Teachers are often told to incorporate grammar study into the teaching of reading and writing, yet are left to research and plan how to make that kind of coordination happen. In Mentor Texts That Spark Writing, the authors have developed nearly 500 pages of robust writing lesson sequences that feature literature as models for writers in upper elementary, middle and high school. Wolph and Slagle suggest ways to address reading standards while reading like writers, as well as how to use grammar as a craft of writing that will enhance student understanding and performance.
