Michael Jenkins The Keepers Of Stalingrad

January 1943. In the last days of the Battle of Stalingrad, seven diverse German soldiers decide to try and escape the ravaged city. In their bid for freedom from the horrors of war, they encounter many hardships and almost impossible ordeals as they struggle through near unsurmountable odds to reach salvation in a triumph of strength, will and endurance over adversity. Half starved and ill-equipped to withstand the harsh bone-chilling winter weather, their journey takes them through unforgiving Southern Russian landscape where they face many dangers, near death situations, encounters with the enemy, incarceration and even hostility from their own side which leads ultimately to death and tragedy. The Keepers of Stalingrad is a gripping story of seven tormented souls, as they face the ultimate challenge of suffering, endurance and adversity in their quest for salvation from the hell of war.
