Henrik Tuxen Punk Rock Is Freedom : Kurt Cobain. The Soul. The Sound. The Story.

Chris Cornell, Iggy Pop, Eddie Vedder, Billy Corgan and Dave Grohl are just a few of the musicians who have Kurt Cobain in common. This is the story of Kurt Cobain seen through the eyes of punk rock history and based on more than 20 years of personal interviews with Cobain's predecessors, contemporaries and heirs of punk rock as told to Danish author and rock journalist Henrik Tuxen, who was also an active musician who toured throughout the European punk rock underground from 1984-1997."Nevermind was a record that changed my life in ways that nobody could possibly understand. It changed my perception of the world. In Utero is an album which to me sounds like a band finally freed of any expectation or obligation. Just making the music that we wanted to make." - Dave Grohl (2002)"What I have achieved is that I tried. Just that, that I tried." - Iggy Pop (1999)"When I got into punk, it was about rejecting the past." - Chris Cornell (1999)
