Caleb Maupin The Danger of an American Years of Lead

Against the backdrop of Trump's potential return to the presidency, Maupin investigates how orchestrated political violence and counter-insurgency tactics risk driving the U.S. into turmoil reminiscent of Italy's "Years of Lead." Drawing from the strategies of William S. Lind and Frank Kitson, he unpacks the mechanisms fueling societal instability and demoralization. Caleb Maupin examines the contentious media portrayal of Luigi Mangione, accused of assassinating United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, as leftist groups cast him as a revolutionary figure. The book contrasts the despair prevalent in Western "socialism" with the optimism seen in BRICS nations. Using historical insights, revelations about CIA programs, artistic manipulation, and MKULTRA, Maupin provides a compelling critique of how political violence sustains the status quo while highlighting an alternative vision and strategy championed by the Center for Political Innovation.
