Sian Wilmot The Butterfly Effect (and other poems): srwpoetry

From Instagram's srwpoetry comes 'The Butterfly Effect' - a collection of most-loved poems, essays and dialogue pieces. This collection embodies hope and holding on, shedding your skin and starting again. With hundreds of thousands of shares worldwide, the poems of 'The Butterfly Effect' are both powerful and whimsical. Exploring aspects of mental health, girlhood, heartbreak and healing, the poet stunningly depicts how growth is slow and rarely steady, but nothing in full bloom will ever tell us that the struggle isn't worth it. ---------- "Some nights, the wolf inside of me shrinks to nothing, she bares her teeth and runs away. The dragon in my chest rejects me, she's so tired of being slain. There are nights when the lioness cowers, says she can't fight another day..." "What about the phoenix?" "She sits with me in the darkness. She whispers we'll rise. Just you wait."
