Oliver Kingsley POWER PLAY PROMISE (MM Romance)

THIS IS A STORY ABOUT FALLING-AND LEARNING HOW TO STAND AGAIN. Once, Marcus Steele had everything. A rising NHL career. A future carved in ice and promise. Then one reckless night destroyed it all. A DUI. A teammate injured. A life reduced to headlines, shame, and regret. Now sober and rebuilding, Marcus is an assistant coach at Lake Shore University, determined to make amends by shaping young talent instead of chasing his own glory. He believes redemption is earned through discipline, distance, and never wanting too much. Until Owen Hayes skates into his life. Owen is twenty-two, gifted, charming, and dangerously unfocused-a college hockey star coasting on raw talent and borrowed confidence. Assigned to mentor him, Marcus sees too much of his former self in Owen's easy smile and wasted potential. Pushing Owen to commit feels necessary. Wanting him feels unforgivable. Because Owen isn't just his player. And Marcus isn't just his coach. As practices stretch into late nights, film sessions turn into confessions, and trust forms where it shouldn't, the line between mentorship and desire begins to blur. Marcus fights an attraction he believes could ruin them both. Owen refuses to be treated like a mistake waiting to happen. But boundaries exist for a reason. Power matters. Timing matters. And love-real love-demands accountability. Set against the intensity of college hockey, locker-room pressure, and the unforgiving echo of past mistakes, Power Play Promise is a slow-burn MM sports romance about redemption, sobriety, and the courage it takes to wait for the right moment. When forgiveness feels impossible and the stakes are higher than any championship, how much is a second chance worth? Perfect for readers who love emotional hockey romance, mentor/mentee tension handled with care, age-gap slow burns, found family, and deeply earned happily-ever-afters.
