David Harper The God Conundrum

*Best Seller in the UK* Whether you are a Christian who wants to learn more about the evidence for God, a curious agnostic, a self-help book reader, or a naturally spiritual person looking for answers, this easy-to-follow book tackles the biggest questions in life - its findings will stimulate your heart, mind and soul... and might even change your life! David Harper is best known as an antiques TV presenter on the BBC. Starting out as a non-Christian, in The God Conundrum he goes on an unexpected and sudden 11-month personal investigation into Christianity, true happiness and the elusive meaning and purpose of life. The project began when he decided to research why someone he loved had been transformed so dramatically by becoming a born-again Christian. This particular person was written off by doctors and therapists, but her life was transformed by finding Jesus. The changes he witnessed in her seemed miraculous and so, what he thought might be an afternoon of internet searching into the effects Christianity has on a person turned into almost a year of full-time research and shocking personal experiences whilst disappearing down some very interesting and little known rabbit holes... At the end of it, he emerged a somewhat surprised and completely changed person! All sorts of topics are covered in an attempt to discover if God exists. From the beginnings of the universe to whether or not we're really descended from fish; evidence for the soul, life-after-death testimonies, spiritual transformations, scientific and historical evidence for Jesus and how to calm and soothe the mind with the most ancient of all practises which is too often overlooked. These and dozens more little explored areas are covered in this life-enhancing and potentially life-changing book.
