Zilan Azad Children of the Sun

Children of the Sun is a poetic work about Kurdish identity, culture, and longing . Through touching, minimalist poems, this book speaks of home and distance, of language and memory, of mountains, hospitality, pride, women, and hope. The poems reflect the strength of the Kurdish people, the deep and unbreakable love for homeland, and the quiet pain of exile. They weave together tradition and memory with the voices of a new generation, one that carries its roots wherever it goes. Children of the Sun captures a feeling that is not always easy to put into words: the in-between, the search for belonging, and the need to hold on to what defines us. This book is more than poetry. It is a reflection of the Kurdish soul, full of love, resistance, longing, and hope. A book for those who feel their roots, for the Kurdish diaspora, for readers of modern, emotional poetry, and for anyone who wants to understand what it means to be a child of the sun.
