Ethereal Ray Murphy's Law for Kids

Things will go wrong. Here's what to do when they do. Meet Morgan - a 12-year-old who learned about Murphy's Law from their older cousin: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." But here's the real lesson: sideways moments are normal. They're not your fault. And you can handle them. Murphy's Law for Kids gives children ages 7-12 a peer guide through 101 of the most common difficult moments kids actually face - told by a kid who just lived through them. Morgan isn't a teacher or a counselor. Morgan is 12, just finished 6th grade, and went through a family divorce, a move to a new city, and starting completely over socially. These aren't made-up problems. They're the real moments kids face every day. What makes this different: Peer-level voice - Morgan just went through middle school. Not an adult writing from memory. 101 life principles across 5 real areas: school stress, friendship drama, home life, big feelings, and growing up. Every lesson includes a same-day action - something a kid can actually do today. No toxic positivity. Honest, humble, and never preachy. 156 pages - not padded out, not watered down. The 5 Parts Inside: Part I: When School Goes Sideways Test anxiety, forgotten homework, group projects that fall apart, being called on when you have no idea - and what actually helps. Part II: When Friends Get Complicated Making friends when it feels awkward, losing a best friend, being left out, secrets that spread, and how to apologize without making it worse. Part III: When Home Feels Hard Sibling fights, parents who don't understand, family changes, feeling unseen, and never having time for yourself. Part IV: When You Feel Big Feelings Embarrassment, worry, anger, sadness, the feeling of crying without knowing why - and honest tools for each one. Part V: When Things Change Growing up, trying new things, being the new kid, failing in front of others, and learning what hard moments actually build in you. Each of the 101 lessons includes: A relatable scenario (present tense - you're right there)A Murphy's Law principleWhat most kids do (no judgment)What Morgan tried - honestly, including when it didn't workOne specific same-day actionA one-line reminder under 10 words This book works well as independent reading for ages 10-12, read-aloud for ages 7-9 with a parent, a classroom or counseling resource, and a meaningful gift for any kid going through a hard stretch. Murphy's Law says: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Morgan says: That's not a curse. That's just life. And you can handle it.
