Savannah Dorothy Snyder The AuDHD Paradox

Do you need routine to function but get bored the moment you establish one? If you have both autism and ADHD, standard workplace advice fails you. Autism books tell you to stick to rigid schedules. ADHD books tell you to embrace novelty and change. Neither approach works when your brain needs both simultaneously. This is the first workplace guide written specifically for AuDHD professionals. AuDHD creates unique challenges that neither condition alone produces. You experience competing needs that pull you in opposite directions: craving predictability while rebelling against sameness, needing sensory protection while requiring stimulation to focus, wanting social connection while being depleted by interaction. Inside this practical guide, you'll discover:Why advice designed for autism OR ADHD consistently backfires for AuDHD brainsThe six core workplace tensions unique to having both conditionsHow to build "structured flexibility" systems that honor competing needsSensory environment strategies for simultaneous overwhelm and understimulationTime management approaches for perfectionists with time blindnessEnergy budgeting methods for wildly fluctuating capacityDisclosure decisions and accommodation requests that address both conditionsCareer paths that fit spiky profiles rather than demanding consistent performanceEarly burnout warning signs specific to AuDHDRecovery roadmaps when prevention isn't enough This book bridges the gap between autism workplace resources and ADHD productivity guides. You'll find actionable strategies designed from the ground up for brains managing two conditions that interact, amplify, and sometimes cancel each other out. Stop trying to fit your brain into frameworks built for someone else. Learn to design work that works for the brain you actually have. For late-diagnosed adults, newly identified professionals, and anyone tired of workplace advice that only addresses half of who they are.
