Somchai Yun Just for the Weekend - A Thanksgiving Pretend BL Romance

Liam Morrison dreads Thanksgiving. Four days in his small hometown means relentless matchmaking from well-meaning relatives and awkward encounters with Evan, his high school ex who his mother refuses to forget. When desperation strikes, Liam makes his chaotic artist roommate Jack an offer: pretend to be his serious boyfriend for one weekend. Jack thinks it's hilarious. A fake relationship? An acting challenge? Count him in. The plan seems simple. Arrive together. Play the devoted couple. Deflect the matchmaking. Survive Evan's inevitable appearance. Leave on Sunday with their friendship intact and Liam's family satisfied. But Jack's natural charm wins over the Morrison family immediately. Liam's carefully constructed façade crumbles as they're forced to share his childhood bedroom, navigate nosy relatives, and maintain their performance through Thanksgiving traditions. Every staged kiss feels too real. Every held hand lingers too long. Every quiet moment alone sparks something neither of them expected. Then Evan arrives, determined to test the boundaries of their relationship. Suddenly, Liam's jealousy isn't fake anymore. Neither is Jack's protectiveness. And somewhere between the turkey dinner and the town tree lighting, they both realize they've stopped acting. Meanwhile, Liam's cynical older brother Cole finds unexpected comfort at the local bakery with Sam, a patient man whose kindness slowly chips away at the walls Cole built after his divorce. Two brothers. Two chances at love. One Thanksgiving weekend that changes everything. Just for the Weekend is a tender BL holiday romance about family expectations, second chances, and discovering that sometimes the best relationships start with the worst ideas. Featuring fake dating that turns real, forced proximity, small town charm, family acceptance, holiday traditions, a meddling ex-boyfriend, and a happily ever after worth the risk.
