Linda Shad Hands of Greed

If you can make it in the Void, you can make it anywhere- Or at least, that's what they say. It's Char's first day at the prestigious Institute, and he wants nothing more than to be one of the popular kids. Having clawed his way up from a humble background, he and his pet Envy are determined to excel, making their mark as the ultimate wielders of void matter. But Char's dreams are shattered when the Windfall siblings pull up in their convertible-a gang of privileged prodigies who thwart him at every turn, aided by their sinister companions, Greed, Pride, Sloth, and Lust. In this absurd dream dimension born from a hazy memory of New York City, figments of the mind come to life as characters. Capital manifests as supernatural energy, and emotions roam the streets in the form of magical beasts called Voidpets. Money is as good as magic, setting the stakes all the higher for Char and his ambitions. With the help of his friends, he'll have to do whatever it takes to outsmart his enemies and survive.
