Tugay Kaban The Novel I Wanted to Sell to Orhan Pamuk

This is the novel of a ghostwriter, commissioned by an author who wishes to transform himself into a protagonist ... The terms of the contract are clear, yet the identities remain unknown. But as the pages turn, roles blur in this uncanny game where the author and the protagonist, and subsequently the protagonist and the reader, become entwined. The narrator's voice mingles with the whispers of another 'I' - one who writes letters to Orhan Pamuk, writhes in the agony of writing a novel, and searches for his own identity. In this labyrinth woven with dreams, unfinished translations, and unsent letters, Tugay Kaban invites you to join him (his characters? both him and his characters? him as a character?) on a dizzying quest where the author chases his own shadow, and the protagonist attempts to seize his creator's destiny. This text, where the boundaries between reality and fiction dissolve, inscribes upon your mind: who is writing whom, and in whose dream does one live? It is a meditation on the act of writing and the existential impasses of modern man.
