Domitille d'Orgeval, Marika Wachtmeister og Mette Marcus Gun Gordillo : Complete Works - Mette Marcus - English Book - Arvinius + Orfeus Publishing

Gun Gordillo (b. 1945) stands as an accomplished artist with an enduring vision spanning over five decades. Her radiant neon installations effortlessly blend minimalism, abstract modernism, constructivism and kinetic art while always retaining a distinct individuality. "Gun Gordillo - complete Works" presents the first comprehensive overview of her art and career. It provides an exhaustive exploration of Gordillos life, practice, and work, situating her art within the tapestry of culture and architecture that gave it life. Illustrated by a wealth of over 300 photographs, including previously unpublished photographs from personal collections, Gordillos artistic evolution and processes are traced from Copenhagen to Paris and Stockholm to Cairo, with spotlights on individual pieces, architectural installations, and exhibitions. The book provides a richly illustrated and in-depth look at Gordillo’s decades-long career, with contributions from leading art historians and curators Domitille d’Orgeval, Marika Wachtmeister, Mette Marcus and Ingela Lind. Through the continuity of her practice, Gordillo creates new partnerships with the spaces that her works occupy and thus continues to present utopias that feed our imagination. Mette Marcus
