Harald Toksværd God Will Know His Own, or; The Private and Unbelievable Notes of One Jacques Fournier on His Personal Crusade Against the Heresies

''I believe that I did not know then what the world was made of. But seeing the pyres, I understood that this world is evil, and that flesh only burns.'' In the year 2031, a washed-up academic finds a cache of documents hidden deep within the Vatican library that could change the course of history. In 14th century France, a young bishop, determined to find the root of heresy, travels to the small mountain village of Montaillou and struggles with his faith, his identity and the nature of mercy in the midst of the bloodiest hunt for heretics in Christian history. A theological and psychological mystery novel crossing the waters between Name of the Rose and Illuminatus! A deep dive into Christian and esoteric history, and the ways their meeting birthed the modern world.
