Michael Katz Krefeld The Sect: A haunting Nordic Noir thriller

A missing son. A powerful father. And a shocking act of mass murder on a remote Danish island. From bestselling author Michael Katz Krefeld—master of Nordic noir suspense—comes a dark and atmospheric crime thriller. Former detective Ravn has turned his back on the police to work as a private investigator. Hired by wealthy businessman Ferdinand Mesmer to find his estranged son, Jacob, Ravn thinks it’s a straightforward missing-person case. But Jacob isn’t just missing. He’s the leader of a secretive community living in isolation on a decaying farm on a remote island. Ravn soon realises that Ferdinand’s motives are far from paternal, and that Jacob’s dangerous charisma has pushed his followers to the brink. What follows is a horrifying series of events leading to tragedy and revealing a chilling truth that binds father and son through guilt and greed. Bleak, propulsive, and emotionally gripping, "The Sect" is Scandinavian crime fiction at its best, perfect for fans of Jussi Adler-Olsen, Jo Nesbø, and Camilla Läckberg. Michael Katz Krefeld is a bestselling Danish crime author known for the acclaimed Ravn and Cecilie Mars series. His dark, suspenseful novels combine the tense psychology of Nordic noir with fast-paced storytelling and atmospheric settings.
