Hunter Birds of Prey

In West Britain, King Loarn of the Silures tribe leads a rebellion against their weakened Roman occupiers. Caught in the middle is Faustus, a Roman soldier with maternal ties to the Silures, trapped between loyalty to the army and compassion for his kin. A fragile peace teeters on the brink as a sudden tragedy threatens to escalate tensions, fracturing the relationship between him and his sister Silvia. With a great, final conflict on the horizon and with Silvia potentially the key to it all, Faustus struggles with his dual identity and inner demons, questioning the possibility of ever achieving peace. But what peace is even possible, for a bird of prey? A beautifully presented Ancient Roman epic of familial strife, ruthless battles, and fierce love, perfect for fans of Manda Scott, Rosemary Sutcliff and Bernard Cornwell. Amanda Cockrell, writing as Damion Hunter, is the author of seven previous Roman novels: the four-volume series ́The Centurions ́. She grew up in Ojai, California, and became fascinated with the Romans when a college friend gave her Rosemary Sutcliff’s books to read. Fil størrelse: 580130 KB Indlæst af: Sam Stafford
