W. Wynn Westcott The Chaldæan Oracles of ZOROASTER

A cornerstone text of the Hermetic tradition. Edited by W. Wynn Westcott, co-founder of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, this classic volume presents the Chaldean Oracles as part of the renowned Collectanea Hermetica series. A leading Freemason and theosophist, Westcott drew upon Hermetic tradition, Pythagorean philosophy, and Kabbalistic teachings in his work on ancient mystical texts. This collection brings together aphoristic fragments preserved in classical sources, each passage carefully annotated and traced to ancient manuscripts. The Oracles reflect a synthesis of Neoplatonic philosophy, Hermetic symbolism, and ancient religious speculation, offering a profound vision of the spiritual universe and the ascent of the soul. Long regarded as an important text of Western esotericism and frequently cited by later occult writers, these teachings have remained a central reference for students of Hermetic philosophy and mystical tradition. This large print edition provides a clear and comfortable reading experience while preserving the scholarly character of this classic work.
