Cali Melle Make Your Shot

Falling for the captain of the hockey team my father coaches was never supposed to happen... especially after he hires me as his new nanny. Living at home without a job is not how I imagined my life after college would look. But just when I think I'm all out of options, one of the hockey players my father coaches finds himself in need of a nanny. Caleb Ford-captain and star center for the Aston Archers and widowed single dad. I jump at the opportunity, knowing it's a simple job I can use as a distraction until I figure out what I want to do with my life. It's a temporary arrangement, so I know there's no reason for me to get attached. Except there's one little problem... Caleb Ford is nothing like I thought he was . Beneath that frosty exterior lies a patient, funny and kind man-a man so fiercely devoted to his daughter with a softness he keeps hidden from the rest of the world... but not from me. The longer I'm around him, the more I see the cracks beneath the surface-the grief he still carries with him and the guilt he refuses to talk about. He says he's not ready for anything more, and neither am I. But when we're alone, there's a magnetic pull neither of us can ignore. A heat that feels dangerous and a tenderness I never could have prepared myself for. Falling for Caleb was never part of the plan. And neither was risking everything for a love that just might break us both.
