Kathleen Converse Skye & the Summer's End

Can Skye and their friends cast a spell and make sure the summer lasts forever? In Kathleen Converse's Wheel of the Year series, a beloved cast of characters returns to celebrate Lughnasad, the ending of summer, and all the feelings of change it brings. Summer is Skye's favorite season, and they hate to see it end. Sprinklers! Ice cream! Long lazy evenings! In Skye & the Summer's End , Skye and their friends cook up a plan to make sure it never ends! When August arrives, Skye decides they aren't ready to say goodbye. With yeast, flour, and a crew of magical friends, Skye casts a spell to prevent summer from going away. But the turning of the year can't be stopped, no matter how hard Skye works on their spell. Skye will miss out on the joy of autumn and the other seasons unless they can learn to embrace change and say farewell to summer. Following the story, families will find back matter on the history of Lughnasadh and late summer celebrations as well as rituals and spells designed to celebrate the season together. Skye & the Summer's End is the perfect read for pagan and earth-based families to mark the end of the summer season. Check out all of the books in the Wheel of the Year series.
