Abbo... Burke (Swami Nirmalananda Giri) Psychic Defense For Yogis

Psychic Defense for Yogis presents a clear, traditional approach to psychic phenomena from the standpoint of classical yoga. Rather than encouraging fear, fascination, or superstition, this book explains how psychic disturbances arise-and how they are best understood and resolved through inner clarity, discipline, and self-mastery. What This Book Addresses Drawing on decades of yogic practice and teaching, Swami Nirmalananda Giri examines: The nature of psychic phenomena as they appear on the spiritual path Common forms of psychic disturbance and misinterpretation Symptoms often mistaken for external "psychic attack" The difference between psychological instability and genuine psychic influence This book helps readers recognize when experiences require grounding and discernment rather than fear or ritual response. Yogic Methods of Protection and Stability Rather than focusing on defensive techniques alone, this work emphasizes the deeper foundations of psychic protection: Inner stability through disciplined spiritual practice Ethical clarity and self-mastery as the first line of defense The proper role of mantra, prayer, and Soham theurgy Why external objects and rituals have limited effectiveness without inner balance True protection, the author explains, arises from clarity of consciousness-not fascination with phenomena. Warnings and Pitfalls on the Spiritual Path The book also addresses serious but often misunderstood issues, including: Obsession with psychic experiences Spiritual imbalance caused by premature or undisciplined practice The dangers of confusing psychic sensitivity with spiritual progress Traditional yogic perspectives on obsession and possession These sections are written with sobriety and compassion, offering guidance rather than sensationalism. Who This Book Is For This book is especially suited for: Yogis and meditators engaged in serious practice Spiritual seekers experiencing confusion around psychic phenomena Readers seeking discernment rather than paranormal speculation Students of traditional yoga philosophy and discipline A Grounded, Traditional Perspective Psychic Defense for Yogis is not a manual of fear-based techniques or psychic combat. It is a guide to clarity, balance, and self-mastery-rooted in traditional yoga and offered for those who seek stability and truth on the spiritual path.
