Sylvia Mercedes A Spot of Tea and Sorcery

A disgraced sorcerer running from his past. A young woman branded for illegal magic. In a city where sorcery is outlawed, Can they discover a place to belong? When a rain-drenched stranger blows through the door of his flower shop and-quite literally-into his arms, something fearfully unexpected and utterly inconvenient occurs. Nigel Grimm falls in love. At first sight. But this is terrible! Nigel doesn't deserve to fall in love! He was once a sorcerer of unmatched skill, consort of the Shadowbane Lady, and master of the dark arts. In his thirst for power, he drove the entire kingdom to the brink of famine. Now he lives a life of self-isolation, tending to the needs of a sentient garden and selling flowers. As far from the lure of sorcery as he can get. But when he meets talented tea witch Luna Talbot, she's starving, out of work, and in desperate need of assistance. What else is he supposed to do? Naturally, he offers her a job. Now Nigel's life is filled with complications. First, he'd better learn how to brew a proper cup of tea if he wants to impress a discerning tea witch. Next, he's got to drive off the dashing wardsman on the hunt for forbidden magic, who is showing particular interest in Luna. Finally, what about these phantom figures stalking the city streets at night? Are they somehow connected to Luna's mysterious past? Most importantly, can this former Dark Sorcerer find a way to protect his own fragile heart from the perils of unrequited love? Come for the cozy, Howl's Moving Castle vibes. Stay for the feet-kicking, giggle-inducing romance. Best served with a mug of your favorite tea.
