David Rankine Claves Spirituum

Claves Spirituum: Expanding the Horizons of Grimoire Conjuration continues the work begun in Claves Intelligentiarum of evolving grimoire conjuration in the twenty-first century whilst remaining true to the essence of the tradition. One of the most significant and exciting inclusions into the practice of grimoire conjuration is the restoration of the winds to transport spirits to the conjuror, reducing the time required reciting conjurations. Another major development is the inclusion of the Shekinah as a source of wisdom and prophetic power. Claves Spirituum focuses on conjuration of the Olympic Spirits and Demon Bishops, but also discusses spirits and their hierarchies, as well as exploring the roles and types of spirit pacts and offerings. Other themes include how to create your own pentacles, working with genius loci, conjuring with sensory impairment or disability, role-specific preparation (conjuror, skryer, scribe, and guard), types of magic circle, and ways to increase magical momentum for successful conjuration. The appendixes include a wealth of spirit sigils, conjurations, prayers, psalm incipits and divine names. Additional consecrations are also included with discussion of the importance of consecration and the sequence to perform all the consecrations in. Claves Spirituum offers a wealth of material inspired by both practice and recent developments in grimoire scholarship such as the publication of Summa Sacra Magice and promotes the development of an authentic personal practice. It is an absolute must-have for anyone seeking to improve or develop their own practice, or who simply wants a greater insight into how the grimoires can be used by practitioners in the present day.
