John Michael Greer Revisioning the Tree of Life

A radical new understanding of the Cabala that sheds light on its Pythagorean, Platonic, and Gnostic roots. Drawing on his three decades of experience in occult traditions, John Michael Greer presents a revolutionary paradigm that gives fresh perspective to the esoteric wisdom of the Cabala, a subject that is often obscured by conflicting ideas and histories. Starting from first principles, Revisioning the Tree of Life aims to make the meaning and purpose of the Cabalistic system understandable, and to show how certain practices unfold naturally from those principles and lead to the heights of human possibility. Divided into three parts the book covers the philosophical principles of Cabala, then does a deep dive into its symbolism, and concludes by covering practical aspects which include meditation, ceremony, active imagination, the body of light, and pathworking. For the experienced practitioner or the curious beginner, Revisioning the Tree of Life is essential reading for anyone seeking spiritual experience, to expand beyond the barriers of human existence and the materialistic limits of the modern world.
