Ryland, Peters & Small Ltd Modern Quilts: 25 projects to make (4, 2024) | Michael Caputo

Follow Michael Caputo's tutorials for every skill level to make gorgeous quilts and patchwork with 25 modern designs in an array of colourful fabrics. As well as being satisfying and enjoyable to make, quilting and patchwork projects are a great way of being kind to the planet by upcycling scraps of fabric. Here, Michael Caputo shows you how to use this flourishing and versatile craft to make 25 modern and innovative designs. If you’re a beginner, get started with a simple project such as a seat cushion or some bright coasters and placemats, then practise your skills further with a wonderful colour wheel mini quilt. There are full-size quilts which are perfect for more confident quilters, as you can really let your creativity take charge in choosing the fabrics and colours. And don’t forget the reverse – one of Michael’s trademarks is that the wrong side of the quilt is just as splendid as the right side. The templates are included and there is a techniques section, as well as step-by-step artworks, to guide you. All you need to do is choose some fun fabrics and you’re ready to begin these inventive makes. Modern Quilts is a fantastic new edition of the previously published Modern Quilting .
