Mads Rafferty Chasing Hope

Some love stories are written in the stars, theirs was written in silence. When Evie's life seemingly shatters in a day she expects her brother to come running. The last person she expects to show up is Matteo Valenti. Her brother's best friend. Her childhood crush. The man she's loved in silence since she was a little girl. What Evie doesn't know is that Matteo has spent a lifetime loving her right back. With nowhere else to turn, Evie reluctantly lets Matteo help pick up the pieces of her broken world. But for Matteo, being there for her isn't a burden, it's everything he's ever wanted. The chance to be the one she leans on. The one she trusts. The one she loves. And this time, neither of them can ignore the tension that's been simmering between them for over twenty years. But while Matteo is determined to help her find her spark again, Evie carries the weight of a devastating secret, one powerful enough to destroy everything. Because some wounds cut deeper than anyone can see and even Matteo's unwavering love might not be enough to save the woman he's spent a lifetime wishing upon every star.
