Freddy Silva Scotland's Hidden Sacred Past

Orkney and the Western Isles of Scotland offer an outstanding collection of stone circles, standing stones and passage mounds, and yet their conical stone towers and horned mounds are not indigenous to Britain, but to regions of the Caspian Sea and the Mediterranean. Their creators were equally mysterious. Traditions tell of 'strangers from afar' who were physically different, dressed in white tunics and lived aside from the regular population. They were regarded as master astronomers with an uncanny ability to work with enormous stones. But who were these relatively advanced ancient architects? ¿In this radical investigative work, bestselling author Freddy Silva examines the Neolithic culture, Gaelic language and sacred traditions of the Scottish Isles and finds a trail of evidence leading to Sardinia and the Armenian Highlands. His research locates the origin of this misplaced civilization, and what prompted its people over 7000 years ago to choose the furthest reaches of Europe to recreate the masterworks of their original homeland. Silva also uncovers a hidden blueprint laid out across Orkney and Ireland, demonstrating how our predecessors were far more capable of extraordinary achievements than we've been led to believe. Examining the linguistic, genetic and cultural trail from Armenia to Scythia, western Europe and Sardinia, Silva re-writes the origins of Scotland's mysterious megalithic past, which led to its extension in Ireland.
