Matthew Rettenmund Boy Culture: 25th-Anniversary Edition

"Boy Culture: 25th-Anniversary Edition" is a new printing of thecomic gay classic, complete with the book's origin story and the 1989 short story from which it was developed. In print ever since its first publication in 1995, "Boy Culture" spawned a hit movie (and, soon, a TV-series sequel), a gay blog, and became a favorite in the LGBTQ canon. The story is narrated by "X," a hustler with a heart of stone, who narrates how he became the man he is while reading every other man he meets. He lives with two roommates, flamboyant young Joey and sexually ambivalent Andrew, in a love triangle that he attempts to sort out via a series of blazing confessions. Will his 80-year-old client Gregory help X become a better man, or drive him further into his shell? Sexy, surprising, snarky and now a time capsule, "Boy Culture" is back.
