John Teller What the Bible Says-and Doesn't Say-About Homosexuality

Have you ever wondered what the Bible has to say about homosexuality? A growing number of Christians have come to believe that the Bible does not prohibit or condemn homosexual acts. This book is intended to refute this fundamentally flawed view, and to respond to one of its principal propagators-the Rev. Dr. Mel White. The Rev. Mel White's What the Bible Says-and Doesn't Say-About Homosexuality is a treatise that argues that the Bible, when correctly understood, neither condemns nor prohibits homosexual relationships between loving, committed same-sex partners. The apparent prohibitions of sodomy and other homosexual acts in the Old Testament are intended not as injunctions from God, but as reflections of societal tastes and preferences. Even if such prohibitions were based on Old Testament biblical laws-Dr. White argues-such laws have no application or bearing on contemporary Christians, who fall under the law of grace. Dr. White's treatise employs subtle twists of logic and misunderstandings of fundamental biblical principles in support of its conclusions. His treatise is especially dangerous to readers having shallow biblical knowledge and who may not fully understand the extent and clarity of the Bible's prohibition on homosexual conduct. At last-there is now an answer to Dr. White's treatise. In this volume, John Teller sets forth a systematic reply to each of Dr. White's defenses of homosexuality. John Teller thoroughly replies to, refutes and rebuts each of Dr. White's arguments on a detailed point-by-point basis. The present volume is indispensable to the Christian studying human sexuality in light of biblical principles.
