Quentin Blake's Fantastic Journeys: Fanciful Drawings and Surprising Situations

An illustrated trip through the imagination of national treasure, Sir Quentin Blake. Skateboarding grannies, fantastical flying machines, juggling hitchhikers, ten-legged monsters, and banana-balancing acrobats – enter the quirky world of Sir Quentin Blake in this delightful and witty collection of chance encounters and imaginative fancies. Sections include ‘Trip Hazards’, ‘Things You Cannot Really Manage Without’, ‘Deliveries from Elsewhere’ and ‘On the Wing’, drawn from Quentin Blake’s QB Papers, and specially selected here for a young audience. Whimsical and funny illustrations in pen and wash reveal the artist’s delight in the joy of the natural world and of human (and monster) encounters. In a lavish jacketed hardback, with an introduction by the artist, this is the perfect gift to delight young and old alike.
