Shefali Tsabary The Conscious Parent

FOREWORD BY HIS HOLINESS THE DALAI LAMA 'The most profound book on parenting I've ever read' - Oprah Winfrey 'Shefali Tsabary's invaluable book shows how the challenges of parenting can become a great opportunity for spiritual awakening. Becoming a fully conscious parent is the greatest gift you can give your child.' - Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now ********************** In this transformative guide, clinical psychologist Dr. Shefali Tsabary throws out the traditional parenting rulebook and invites you to see parenting in a radically new light. Through her groundbreaking approach, Dr Tsabary inspires you to get back in touch with their emotions and shed the layers of baggage they have inherited during their own life and are unconsciously heaping on their children. She teaches us that by embracing the emotional and spiritual lessons in the parenting journey, we not only support our children's growth, but begin our own path to becoming more whole, present and empowered - and more effective as parents. The Conscious Parent will help you to reflect on your parenting style and move beyond the traditional, hierarchical parent-child dynamic. As you become more 'conscious' in your parenting, you'll learn how to transform your relationship with your child - building a stronger, more authentic bond and, in turn, raising happy, well-adjusted children.
