The Topps Company Garbage Pail Kids: 40th Anniversary Edition

The cards you loved as much as your mom hated them—the Garbage Pail Kids—collected in one comprehensive, beautifully designed package! Garbage Pail Kids features all 206 rare and hard-to-find images from Series 1 through 5, as well as a set of four all-new bonus stickers created especially for the 40th anniversary. Garbage Pail Kids is guaranteed to appeal to die-hard collectors as well as a new generation of fans. One of the backlist staples of the ComicArts list, this book was originally published in 2012 and is now celebrated with this handsome 40th anniversary edition. A series of collectible stickers produced by Topps, Garbage Pail Kids were designed to parody the overly saccharine Cabbage Patch Kids, a toy doll fad in the 1980s. This outrageous series was the brainchild of legendary cartoonist Art Spiegelman, who, in collaboration with artists Mark Newgarden, John Pound, Tom Bunk, Jay Lynch, and James Warhola, created a pop-culture phenomenon. The book includes a introduction by Spiegelman and an afterword by Pound.
