LaMor Clements Exploring the Koshas in Yoga Therapy

Gain a practical, embodied understanding of the Pancha Kosha model and how to apply it in therapeutic work. Informed by over a decade of research, LaMor Clements presents a framework for using the Pancha Kosha model to inform yoga therapy. She applies the model to asana, mantra, mudra, pranayama and meditation and suggests how to make choices that embody each of the Koshas. With clear guidance, sample session outlines, and meditation scripts, this book helps yoga therapists design practices that embody each of the five layers of our being. It also offers suggestions for communicating with clients about the model, provides accessible tools and handouts to help in the yoga therapy assessment phase, and presents how common conditions may relate to imbalances across the Koshas. Grounded in tradition and designed for use in daily life, this book shows you how to incorporate the Koshas in ways that empower clients on their personal journeys of self-awareness, insight, and healing.
