Lindsey Byrd The Moon Blessed King

‘An ambitious and compelling tale of deadly court intrigue and star-crossed lovers’ – Lucy Holland, author of Sistersong , on The Sun Blessed Prince Can two rulers with power over life cheat death to save two nations locked in war? From Lindsey Byrd, The Moon Blessed King is a breathtaking, queer, slow-burn fantasy romance. Elician is to be crowned King of Soleb. But he’s secretly a Giver, capable of raising the dead, and it’s forbidden for Givers to rule. Despite this, he’s desperate to end the war with Alelune – and will marry Cat, a Reaper who can kill with a touch and Alelune’s rightful King, to do so. But before Cat can challenge his tyrannical brother for his throne, the goddess of Death unleashes a devastating plague on both nations. With Elician and Cat’s attention on Death herself, Elician’s Giver sister, Fen, is left behind to heal the sick of an uncertain nation still at war. In the face of this new responsibility, Fen must decide what she is willing to sacrifice to ensure Elician and Cat can succeed. As the death toll rises, and Alelune’s throne hangs in the balance, it’s a race against time to appease the wrath of a god – and the future of two countries is at stake. The Moon Blessed King is the stunning second fantasy in the A Tale of Two Crowns duology, following The Sun Blessed Prince . * * * PRAISE FOR The Sun Blessed Prince ‘An outstanding slow-burn, character driven narrative’ – T.
