Concordia Publishing House og Wayne Palmer The Lutheran Reader's Bible

Many Christians today struggle to know Scripture. Perhaps they struggle to understand how to use or navigate the Bible. Maybe they have not developed the habit of reading or reflecting upon it or are intimidated by such a long and ancient book, not knowing where to start. Perhaps they have never spent time alone or in a group reading God's Word. The Lutheran Reader's Bible is designed to help readers develop a habit of devotion and meditation so they can slowly but intentionally grow in God's Word. Guided reading plans, prayers, and historical information accompany this English Standard Version (ESV) text to help readers feel confident in their understanding of the Bible. Features include: - introductions for each book of the Bible to orient readers to the historical time and context - reading plans based on experience and interest level - reading plans based on the 1- and 3-year lectionaries of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod - a robust section of prayers (both historical and original) - Order for Daily Prayer to encourage daily Scripture reading - table of psalms for daily prayer - Luther's Small Catechism - maps - one-column Bible text - words of Christ in red
