I just want to rush off and see all the gardens.’ – Rick Stein Step inside twenty of Cornwall’s most magical private gardens. Secret Gardens of Cornwall reveals the horticultural heart of a county shaped by ocean light, early springs, hidden valleys and dramatic clifftops. Introduced by Sir Tim Smit KBE , co‐founder of the award‐winning Eden Project , this book explores each garden through the perceptive writing of Tim Hubbard – who has lived and gardened in Cornwall for over forty years – and the atmospheric photography of Jo and Rob Whitworth . Together, they reveal the individuality of every garden and the distinctive challenges and rewards of cultivating plants at the edge of the Atlantic. Featured gardens include: Bonython Estate Gardens – structured colour and South African influences on the Lizard Peninsula. Caervallack – an artist’s garden of sculptural cob walls and imaginative planting. Chygurno – vertiginous clifftop terraces with sweeping views over Lamorna Cove.
