Adrian Anderson The Gospel of John

The Gospel of John is a deeply profound text. Unlike the other gospels, it emphasises the Logos, a being even more mysterious and lofty than some other divine entities mentioned in Biblical texts. In this ground-breaking new translation, Dr Adrian Anderson has discovered the veiled initiatory teachings of a cosmic Christianity. This work confirms the truth that John's Gospel contains esoteric material, revealed by Dr Anderson's careful attention to unusual variations in Codex Bezae. His research has resulted in new and different translations of many verses, showing hidden meanings that are exciting and relevant to all interested in spirituality and esoteric Christianity. This translation and commentary lead us into a new understanding of this already revered Gospel. Dr Anderson has drawn comprehensively on the Essene Dead Sea Scrolls, Nag Hammadi library, the 3rd century scholars such as Origenes and Clement of Alexandria, the Odes of Solomon, the Hermetica, and the Gospel of Thomas to provide new insight. The teachings of the seer and scholar Rudolf Steiner also provide a valuable perspective on many passages. A useful introduction redefines and clarifies such concepts as faith, initiation, salvation, God, gods, the Logos, a cosmic Christ, and spiritual influences. This work is a gift to all readers seeking what has been hidden for centuries in the Gospel of John.
