Bruce LaFontaine Constellations of the Night Sky

Ready-to-color, double-page illustrations introduce stargazers of all ages to 22 major constellations, among them Aquarius, the water bearer; Orion, the hunter; Gemini, the twins; and Aries, the Ram; as well as Canis Major, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Virgo, and more. An informative accompanying text relates the mythological story behind each constellation's name and identifies its principal stars as well as galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and other features associated with the constellation. To help viewers locate these fascinating star formations, charts on the inside front and back covers show generalized positions of the constellations in the Northern Hemisphere during summer and winter. Entertaining and fact-filled, this clearly rendered collection is also a great source of royalty-free art suitable for a variety of art and craft projects.
