Nora Roberts og J. D. Robb Forgotten In Death: An Eve Dallas thriller (In Death 53)

"Forgotten In Death" by J. D. Robb follows Homicide cop Eve Dallas on a case that begins in a more hectic way than usual, when two crime scenes are discovered close to each other near a construction site. The first victim, Alva Quirk, was a harmless middle-aged woman who lived on the streets. The locals knew her well as the kind lady who gave out origami flowers in exchange for their change. Beaten to death with a crowbar, wrapped in a tarp and hidden away in a dumpster on a construction site is a horrible way to go. Eve Dallas is determined to find Alva's murderer, especially since the poor woman had no one to miss her or mourn her. Eve barely has time to find her bearings at the crime scene, when a second murder is called in. Someone has found the body of a young pregnant woman nearby. Her murder turns out to have been a lot less recent than Alva's, but is their deaths related? Can it truly be a coincidence, when two dead bodies turn up in the same construction site? "Forgotten In Death" by J. D. Robb is the 53rd installment in Robb's bestselling futuristic suspense series about the hardworking New York cop, Eve Dallas.
